More people are going to college, taking longer to become financially settled, have easier access to birth control, and are embarking on demanding careers that put family life on the back burner. In addition to having children later in life, the average cost of raising a child has increased dramatically over the generations, so one or two kids might be all some couples can afford. These factors all add up to create smaller families, which means we’ll likely see fewer middle children throughout the country in future decades if these trends continue. And without them, we’ll lose out on all of the remarkable traits seen below.
As an etsy seller, I personally don’t think it’s unethical to list an item in any blog post (even a DIY one,) as long as the link takes you back to the item listing, and/or the creator is given credit. This one just happens to have been deactivated, maybe because the seller did it, or it’s possible etsy did. Either way, even if the item was copyrighted, someone crafty could make something similar for personal use (but, from what I’ve seen, not of the same quality unless they’re experienced with printing on fabrics!) Most sellers are up on their SEO and google stats, and it appears this one’s sales haven’t been hurt by their item being posted all over the web. 😉

Historians often credit Peter J. McGuire, co-founder of the American Federation of Labor, as the first to propose a holiday celebrating workers. According to the modern-day American Federation of Labor, McGuire brought up the idea in an 1882 meeting of the New York Central Labor Union, saying that workers should lead a parade to “publicly show the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations.”

Hi, my daughter linked me here, love all the ideas for costumes. Our enlarged family has been doing Halloween for many, many years, and all the costumes have been handmade! My husband and I went as Sonny & Cher, he was Cher & I was Sonny, everyone loved it. Also, Hunchback & Gypsy girl, salt & pepper shakers, referee & football player, so many I can’t remember them all. Now once a month my sisters, our older girls, & our mom meet for a card night but we theme dress up: Harry Potter Night, Jersey Shore, Roman Toga, Nerd, and so on, we have so much fun doing it, take pictures, then we relax for the night. My neice made my mom a scrapbook of all our nights we’ve done, it’s great! Enjoy all.
Dr. Catherine Salmon, Schumann's co-author on The Secret Power of Middle Children, found that 80 percent of middle children claimed they have never cheated on their partner. This is compared to 65 percent of firstborns and 53 percent of last-borns who said they were never unfaithful to their long-term partner or spouse. This, of course, led to separate studies confirming that middle children, and their spouses, were happiest in marriage when compared to other birth orders.
There’s a new era of Star Wars movies for today’s kids, but that doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten about the classic Star Wars movies! Whether you prefer new or vintage Star Wars action or hold them both in high regard, it’s hard to find a more iconic costume style than dressing as Princess Leia with her hooded gown from A New Hope. For couples Halloween costumes, pair her up with a Stormtrooper or Han Solo, and you’ll be ready to hit the big costume party!

In general, it's difficult to nail down certain presidential birth orders, as the middle child blog SmackDab puts it: "George Washington’s father had four children with his first wife before the first President was born. Washington was the first of six children from his father’s second marriage. So was he the first born or the fifth born?" Still, if we're to take conventional wisdom and a loose definition of what a middle child is (basically anyone not the oldest or the youngest), then it turns out that 52 percent of presidents were born in the middle, including Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Abraham Lincoln.
