It’s not really a new picture, but this photo was posted just last week showing a baby who can’t wait until he’s born to go trick-or-treating. Redditor Ghost0_ told us how he and his wife used that idea for Halloween a couple of years ago, and what went into making it. You don’t really have to be pregnant to pull this off, but it’s funnier to people who know you if you are.
In 1887, Oregon became the first state to celebrate Labor Day as a legal holiday. In 1894, the rest of the United States followed suit when President Cleveland signed the holiday into law after political pressure created by his suppression of the Pullman Strike. Cleveland, aware that he needed to appease the labor movement, pressed for nationwide recognition of the first Monday in September as Labor Day.

1. Crown and Coke: This is a fun couples costume or a bottle of coke complete with coke tab headband makes for a great costume on it’s own! The tutorial is pretty simple assuming you have a red dress on hand. Turn this into a group costume idea with friends and all be different bottles of pop! If you don’t have time to DIY, I found a cute option on Amazon: Coca Cola Dress and Diet Coke Dress. Jack Daniels T-shirt and black pants would be a super easy non DIY version too: Jack Daniel’s T-Shirt.
Show off your sense of humor at this year’'s Halloween party with imaginative couples costumes like Kermit and Miss Piggy, celebrate your favorite sandwich and dress up like a Ham and Swiss or BLT or even Bacon and Eggs. Is cosplay your favorite? Us too! We’re all about Halloween, quite obviously, but we’re big-time fans of the folks who ply their costume skills all year long. Our Halloween costumes work great for cosplay, whether you mod them with your own upgraded costuming talents or prefer them ready to go out-of-the-box. Check out some of these classic cosplay ideas to see if they inspire your next choice for a Comic-Con!
Tank Girl breakdown: shirt – mine, target painted on w/acrylics; shorts – mine, vintage; vest – thrifted, and I added patches and doodads; socks – hub’s and thrifted rainbow toe socks (one cut off as an arm warmer); goggles – dollar store; belt & holsters – my husband’s; weapons – dollar stores (I painted the bright orange gun); boots – mine; bat – thrifted kid’s plastic bat that I covered in contact paper and athletic tape. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to add wounds and bruises, but I did add some bandages. 🙂
She's the one called Sailor Moon and she's a pretty big deal. Sailor Moon is a classic when it comes to anime, so she's a staple in comic con crowds. That makes her an easy pick when you're trying to put together a great outfit to wear for a bit of cosplay. It won't give you any of the powers that she normally has, but it will get you quite a few positive comments when you head out wearing your Sailor Moon costume. Just make sure you're rocking the long blonde pig-tails. (We’ve got the wig if your own locks aren’t quite cutting it!)
Dressing in costume is one of the most common and recognizable traditions that dates back thousands of years to celebrate one of the oldest holidays, Halloween. It was the Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago, that were believed to wear the first "costumes" consisting of animal heads and skins, during the bonfire celebration of Samhain.  Even though adult costumes have come a long way from the "animal heads and skins" that the Celts wore, the desire for people to dress up in costume and celebrate a special occasion is still in our blood.

There’s a new era of Star Wars movies for today’s kids, but that doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten about the classic Star Wars movies! Whether you prefer new or vintage Star Wars action or hold them both in high regard, it’s hard to find a more iconic costume style than dressing as Princess Leia with her hooded gown from A New Hope. For couples Halloween costumes, pair her up with a Stormtrooper or Han Solo, and you’ll be ready to hit the big costume party!

Shawn Thorsson has made a bunch of fantastic costumes. He planned a Halo-themed build for Halloween 2008, but then was deployed to Afghanistan. The project was finally completed the next year. Thorsson fabricated armor from the video game world of Halo, painted them in different colors, and dressed his friends as the characters from the Red vs. Blue series. He posted lots of pictures to show you the process.

Turn your favorite Instagram filter into an easy costume you and your significant other can both use. To make it, pull up Instagram stories on your phone and select the "Heart Eyes" filter. Then, point the phone at a blank surface and take a screenshot. Send the screenshot file to a printing or office supplies store to have it blown up and printed on a thick board. Then, cut out a part in the middle for your face.
